Inside Sales Officer

Business Solutions & Merchant Acquiring

General Responsibilities

.The inside sales officer will be responsible for achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Will work with the merchant sales officers and partners such as Product & Innovation Through this role, will find client opportunities for the merchant sales officers and work alongside other teams at Evertec. Communicating with prospects, making outbound calls to potential merchants, and following up on leads. · Understanding merchants' needs and requirements and identify sales opportunities. · Answering potential merchants' questions and sending additional information per e-mail. · Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate merchant sales officer for further development and closure. · Keeping up with products and service information and updates. Responsible for product knowledge to answer merchant questions. · Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services. · Responsible for merchant follow-up and qualifying new leads from social media, landing page, among other marketing efforts. · Have an excellent oral communication and uses best practices in merchant services when interacting with possible prospects and/or clients. · Ensures execution of all key controls including but not limited to SOX controls for role as per assigned roles within established procedures and within approved delegation of authority and authorized limits. Responds to and reviews all escalations or deviations that may be brought to his or her attention. Reports any exceptions to established internal controls and documents any employee. 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) with a concentration in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, or Business Administration or related field from an accredited four-year college or university. One (1) to two (2) years of experience related to sales goods, products, services, specially associated to financial businesses and customer service.

Communication Communicate effectively both oral and written in Spanish and English. Speaks correctly, fluently and provide clear information to different audiences in a comprehensive and assertive way, including but not limited to internal and external clients, team members, executives, consultants, among others. Pays full attention and takes time to understand the points being made and demonstrates understanding. Asks questions appropriately and does not interrupt at inappropriate times. Planning & Time Management Ability to organize the activities required to achieve a desired goal. Identifies objectives, resources, milestones, deadlines, and accountable persons. Develops the means required to accomplish the objectives, monitors the steps and resources, and evaluate the results. Ability to organize tasks effectively to finish them on time and with minimum follow up. Complete tasks on assigned due dates. Has the ability to plan and control how to spend the hours in a day to effectively accomplish established objectives and goals. Prioritizes tasks and monitors where the time goes. Expertise on Sales & Negotiation Convince others to buy merchandise/goods or to otherwise change their minds or actions. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services; this includes marketing tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of human behavior; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological observing techniques. Demonstrate social perceptiveness: Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Show the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Complete adequately the sales cycle. Computer Skills Ability to manage proficiently basic functions of the computer and all related devices, such as keyboard, printer, storage, and projectors. Able to work with corporate software, included but not limited to word processing, numerical and statistical applications, presentations, communications software, and applications.

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
