Jefe Técnico I

General Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and implement IBM DB2 and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software. • Analyze and troubleshoot database errors and issues. • Responsible for Mainframe database administration, monitoring and maintenance. • Responsible for DB2 documentation to maintenance and administration tasks. • Responsible for maintaining disaster recovery procedures and capacity planning related to DB2. 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution. • Five years of experience in IBM DB2 and DB2 tools. • Previous experience in installation, configuration, and testing. 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Knowledge of IBM DB2 and DB2 tools (Admin, Log Analyzer, etc) • Knowledge of IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, ADRDSSU). • Ability to plan and coordinate effectively with technical support personnel. • Problem management skills with emphasis on problem analysis and root cause determination and resolution. • Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. • Experience in preparing documentation tasks and processes. • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and oral. 

 

Additional Information

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
