Software Development Manager

General Responsibilities

The Software Development Manager is responsible for managing software development teams that design, build, and support payment applications. This role ensures solutions meet business requirements, security standards, and operational expectations while supporting modernization initiatives and continuous improvement. 

 

Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.

 

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • A master's degree is preferred. • 10 to 12 years of proven experience managing or supervising software development teams. • Experience with payment or transaction-based systems. • Experience in project planning, execution, and resource management. • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, preferably with regional teams. • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency. • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). • Experience working in DevSecOps environments. 

 

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Knowledge of financial transaction messaging standards, including ISO 8583 (preferred), and industry standards such as PCI DSS. • Knowledge of transaction processing with major payment brands (e.g., VISA, MasterCard) (preferred). • Knowledge of observability, resilience, and high availability systems. • Exposure to modern architectures (APIs, microservices, event-driven). 

 

Additional Information

Monday to Friday 9:00AM - 6:00PM 

Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
